Caffo Red Bitter is the aperitivo essential from Gruppo Caffo, made at the Distilleria Friulia in Udine, Italy. Its natural red color comes from cochineal rather than dye, and its flavor from sweet oranges and bitter Calabrian chinotto oranges hand-picked on the Caffo family's own properties, infused with a selection of herbs and spices led by juniper, rhubarb and gentian. Bottled at 25% ABV in a generous 1-liter bottle. The nose is chinotto orange and dusty gentian. The palate continues with orange and gentian, joined by cinchona, citrusy juniper and a touch of rosemary, finishing long and pleasantly bitter. It is the perfect partner for a classic Negroni or a spritz, and it works in any recipe that calls for a top-quality red bitter, from a Boulevardier to a Jungle Bird. One of the best-value Campari alternatives on the shelf.Buy Caffo Red Bitter Aperitivo 1L online with fast shipping right to your door.
