BEAUTIFULLY CLEAR AND RESPONSIVE TONE
The groundbreaking Concept mouthpiece represents a collaborative effort between Selmer Paris and Claude Delangle, a distinguished Professor at the Conservatoire Nationale Superieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM).
Renowned for its exquisitely clear and responsive tone, this mouthpiece shares similarities with the renowned S80, yet introduces a touch of expansiveness to the sound despite its closely positioned tip opening. Notably, it exhibits a slightly more subdued brightness in the middle octave range, lending a delightful 'floating' quality to legato phrases.
Distinguished by its innovative design, a notable feature of the Concept mouthpiece is its beak, which takes on a more 'Duck-like' contour. This unique characteristic enhances comfort and stability in the embouchure. Additionally, the lower roof and shorter facing set it apart from the S80 C* and Soloists, traditionally favored by classical saxophonists for their wider design.
Delivering a warm and captivating sound with exceptional projection, the Concept mouthpiece unveils a rich palette of tonal colors and maintains a seamlessly even tonal quality throughout the entire saxophone range. Its user-friendly nature ensures ease of blowing, consistency, and remarkable focus, while articulation remains clear, clean, and precise even during rapid passages. This innovative mouthpiece stands as a testament to Selmer Paris' commitment to pushing the boundaries of saxophone design and performance.
