GlenAllachie 8 Year Old is the entry point to one of Speyside's most exciting distilleries, bought from Chivas Brothers in 2017 by industry legend Billy Walker, the man who revived BenRiach and GlenDronach. Built near Aberlour in 1967, GlenAllachie under Walker has become a byword for sherry-driven whisky and adventurous wood. The 8 Year is matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons with a small share of virgin oak and red wine barriques, then bottled at 92 proof, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle. It pours bronze and delivers sherried sophistication well beyond its age: raisin, heather honey and butterscotch on the nose, then milk chocolate, orange zest, dried apple and warm cinnamon on the palate, finishing oily and gently spiced. A superb value sherried Speyside and a great introduction to the Walker house style.Buy GlenAllachie 8 Year Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
